  1. Skipped my Japanese exam + Culture class yesterday. Didn't study for the former + didn't complete the essay for the latter anyway. Must. Start. Living. In. The. Library.
  2. Room's a mess. Dreading unpacking + doing laundry from my Korea trip.
  3. Permed my hair in Seoul. It still has the volume from the crimps, kinda. & when it's wet I look like a poodle haha. Wanted big ones but the lady was telling me either 1. It's not possible or 2. It won't be nice so I just went with it. Communication barrier. Worse than when in Japan.
  4. Wish I had wireless in my room or that my internet cable would extend to my bed.
  5. Finally figured out how to on the heater in my room, yay.
  6. Jeremy Scott's SS '10 Flintstones inspired collection haha.
  7. Alexandre Herchcovitch in his SS '10 collection has totally taken accented shoulders to the next level + combined it with puffed sleeves kinda I reckon.
  8. Super interesting.
  9. At Charlie's 21st birthday last night Claudia wanted to swap shoes to try my F21 peep-toe ankle booties. Her Chanel flats were 1 to 1.5 sizes smaller. She was like I don't mind if you stretch them, I need to wear them in some more anyway. Crazy.
  1. 1 more day to sing "I am nineteen, callll meeee". Upset x 10.

Paps informed me just now over the phone about the new MacBook. Exact same specs as my newly acquired MacBook Pro except in white & like half the price (SGD$1.3K)!!! Which was exactly what I wanted. Now I'm stuck with an ugly silver mac & iPod 120GB.

Anyway,
Remember, remember the fifth of November,
The gunpowder treason & plot,
I know of no reason
Why the gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot.
- Guy Fawkes

I miss literature, so much. I miss being able to quote such poetry with like-minded folk. In retrospect, the many arduous essays I had to write each week were a breeze compared to the culture & history crap I have to read & write about it now. One really can't have it all. I have 8 hours left to write one & study a couple months worth of Japanese then it's TGIF.

Blue to gray, grow up & blow away.

& why are you anxious about what to wear? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin. And yet I say to you, that even Solomon in all his glory is not arrayed like one of these.

- Matthew 6:28-29

Nineteen

I don't know if I posted this here or on LJ before, but I wrote these for 2 different issues of The Journal under the "100 words" section. Yes they're about Justin. It's been almost a year & I have nothing to hide anymore.

#1

You can see sadness in my eyes,

my almond eyes.

A perfect 10,

that was;

in figure-skating lingo.

Our affair was short-lived,

all of 5 days.

But you were perfect,

in every way.

I know,

how cliché.

I always replay,

that fateful day.

You greeted me with a hug,

and that was the start.

What I miss most:

Full Throttle Blue Thunder ashtray,

your smell lingering on your blanket,

jokingly dirty talk,

your newsboy cap…

“Will you love me in the morning?”

“Forever and ever, babe.”

Uh huh, yea sure.

There you go,

a 100 words.

Perfection –

that is you.

#2

Walking down the hallway, I smelt something familiar: "this smells like Kyle." A couple of meters later, it was a different scent: “this smells like Yannick." Then it hit me like a car going 100km/hr, I forgot what you smell like. I remember the day after we "broke up"; I had a few drinks, couldn't sleep and ended up at your place. I huddled up in your bed, seemingly hiding under the sheets, crying. Maybe so, but with every breath I took I was breathing you in, hoping to take in as much as I could, for I knew it'll be the last time.

Happy 23rd, J. I hope you're happy.

LV Women Spring/Summer 2010

Who caught the live streaming of the show on FB? You can still watch it, here until 22 hours from now. It was terrible + so disappointing!! I was excited to see it cos everybody's favourite MJ designed for this collection. Everything was so colourful & looked so cheap. & the tassels & fur tails were absolutely ridiculous. & the shoes seemed so hard to walk in!!

Je présente the newly acquired perfect denim jacket I was talking about on LJ.

So this is new on Altamira: Models off duty, like 2 days ago. Model Frida Gustavsson.
My hair is supposed to be like hers but her crimps are way more obvious!! Maybe I need to go that light. Or get some hair spray.

I knew Japan was famous for their many different & weird (?) flavours of Kit Kat. So far I've only seen (not that I've been on a hunt for it) this one. Bread pudding I think? It's okay, not bad. & sorry for the mirror image pic! Took it with photobooth + haven't got photoshop yet.
+ I finally found Nylon Japan after popping into every magazine kiosk & bookstore I've past by for the past 3 (?) weeks. & guess where? My school's book store.

AA finally copied Chanel's stockings which came out a whole year + ago.

+ I find this hilarious. They're calling it the Sheer Luxe Cut Out Pantyhose. More like G-string Pantyhose.

Insomnia 101

So in Sing I'd usually be going to sleep at this time. But last night I slept at 9pm & have been up since an hour ish ago. This was Day 2. Sunday.
Shiki
The legit Daiso.
Obsession over being fair. Only in Japan I see people decked in long sleeves & pants in the summer! Sun protection gear:
Minis. So kawaii.
A million bikes blocking the mall's entrance.
My dorm from across the street.
Matt fatt this is for you!
Met Ikumi & we had an awesome dinner + 1,500 yen (SGD$22.50) free flow booze for 2 hours at this really cute restaurant, Ghetto in Shibuya.
Apparently we don't have to pay for the table (never heard of having to pay for the table before, except for karaoke) so we have to pay for the beef jerky?
Avocado in wasabi sauce!!
Cheese fondue! Am gonna try pumpkin fondue the next time.
Yumzz.
Crazy crowd + lines at the purikura (neoprint) place.
My love I haven't had you in yearsss!
Shibuya 109.
Hachiko The Dog
Some mini museum in the form of a metro cart.
That's all for now. Should probably try & get some sleep now...
